Memory Stcik Pro Duo 2gGB?

i just bought a camcorder (Sony 610 model) and i want to buy a memory stick. the only memory stick that it can hold is a "Memory Stick Pro Duo." i don't know if i should get a 2gb, 4gb, 8gb, or 16gb memory stick. i know that the 16gb one is $300 so that is out of the question. i'm going on a trip and i plan on using it ALOT. can you answetr these questions:

how much does each one hold?

which one should i get?
