Memory card affected by my wireless guitar controller?

I wanted to access the browser on my PlayStation 2 yesterday, to get to my memory card. I had a regular controller plugged into port one, and a wireless Guitar Hero controller receiver into port two. When I went to the browser, I selected my memory card icon, but when I pressed X, it wouldn't open the folder. After trying to figure out what was wrong with my controller, I realized it was that my wireless receiver was interfering with the regular controller. I want to know why, exactly, it affects the other peripherals? If there's any logical explanation, please, feel free to contribute.

Nope, the wireless reciever doesnt affect anything else.

and im surprised it interfiered with th other controller, i have one and it never causes any problems
