Memory triggers?

what, smells, songs or foods trigger great childhood memories?

uptown girl by billy joel is the song from mine. can remember dancing in tje kitchen with my mum. think was about 4.

I didn't have a very happy childhood due to a number of factors, but one song that reminds me of my Mum who recently died is Those Boots Were Made For Walking, I think it's by Nancy Sinatra-she loved that song! I try my hardest to steer clear of things that remind me of my childhood.

the smell of wood burning on an open fire... reminds me of when we first moved from Liverpool (England) to Cornwall(England) i was only two years old and the place we were supposed to be moving into wouldn't allow us in as we were two hours late arriving (our car broke down we phoned and told them) but i loved it we camped in the woods and meet this guy who lived there his name was bender coz that's what he lived in

The songs "up, up and away-ay in my beautiful balloon", and "Age of Aquarius", though most of you are probably too young to remember...  

I was starting a new job, as a bartender in a sports bar when I was about 22, and I turned on the glass washer and it had the exact same smell as the floor cleaner in my nursery school.  I thought I had fallen through a black hole into my own past, I actually felt dizzy.  

Shepherd's pie served with tinned peas, also from nursery school, still my favorite comfort food.

Honey Suckles. my neighbor used to grow then on his fence.

Also, freshly cleaned elementry schools when you can still smell the cleaners that they used. My school used WAY to much cleaner.

My grandfather used to make the best yeast rolls.

I always hear morning doves around the house I grew up in.

I love hearing my A/C unit crank up the cooling unit. I've been listening to something like that during the summer since I was born.

singing songs of how to kill Barney the dinosaur was very popular when I was in elementry school.
