Memphis Grizzlies: Ten best games of the 2010-2011 regular season – NBA Special Report – Part 1
The Southwest Division team of the Western Conference Memphis Grizzlies had an inspiring season on the court and overshadowed some of the best teams of the league a number of times. Although the Grizzlies have not clinched a championship
title until now however, the team is marching forward impressively in the 2010-2011 play-offs.
The Grizzlies carry a couple of outstanding players, who holds tremendous ability to lead the line-up convincingly. The prolific star forward Zach Randolph is the corner stone of the team, one who stands among the best players
in the league and supports both the offensive and defensive sides of the court dominantly. Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are the key performers in the starting five and make the life difficult for the opposition.
Grizzlies’ five best games of the regular season are as follows.
20th November vs. Miami Heat
The star forward Rudy g*y buried a jumper shot with the final buzzer to rupture the tie as the Memphis Grizzlies relished an electrifying 97-95 victory over the Miami Heat at the FedEx Forum.
Six players from the Grizzlies landed double figures and outshined the super efforts of the two best offensive players LeBron James and Chris Bosh who combined for 49 points. Memphis’ superstar Randolph came off the bench and racked
up a team-high 21 points with 13 rebounds to put his team on the frontline.     
The Grizzlies displayed a brilliant team effort and grabbed 43-39 advantage going into the halftime. The Heat bounced back aggressively in the third quarter and levelled the game 68-68 before entering the final 12 minutes. James
surged with dunk shot followed by Bosh’s blistering3-pointer in the defining moments of the game to escalate a tie 95-95 however g*y came in their way and clinched a magnificent win with a buzzer beater.
15th December vs. Charlotte Bobcats
The Memphis Grizzlies kept the pressure on the undermanned Charlotte Bobcats throughout the night and cruised away with a comprehensive 113-80 win at the FedEx Forum. O.J. Mayo exploded off the bench and notched up a game-high
24 points to spearhead the Grizzlies for a massive 33 points victory.
The Bobcats romped with 7-3 run in the preliminary minutes of the first quarter as that was the only cheering moment for the visiting Charlotte in the game. The Grizzlies took the charge and wrapped up a huge 59-36 advantage as
the game progressed into the first half.
The home team carried the action after halftime and thrashed the Bobcats out of the game in the third quarter by amplifying the lead to 84-55. The final period was left as a formality for the spirited Grizzlies as they finished
off with an outstanding win.
2nd January vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Zach Randolph and Rudy g*y posted a top scoring performance and powered the Grizzlies to outshine the two-time defending champions Los Angeles Lakers for a comprehensive104-85 victory at the Staples Centre.  Despite of Kobe Bryant’s
game-high 28 points, Memphis crushed the Lakers in all of the four quarter convincingly.
After procuring 9 points advantage in the first two periods, the Grizzlies infused incredible energy in the third quarter and utterly dominated the home team by taking the lead to 79-62. The Grizzlies were incredibly instrumental
on the both offense and defence and gave very few chances to the Lakers to gain any sort of momentum. The visiting Memphis continued the action in the final quarter as well and wrapped up one of the most brilliant victory of the season.
