Memphis Grizzlies likely to trade Rudy g*y this off- season - NBA Report
Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy g*y had a solid last season, but there is a strong possibility that he will be traded in this off season. He averaged 19 points in the regular and post season, but if rumours are to be believed the Grizzlies are interested in trading him for a better pick in this year's draft.
Rudy missed the 2nd round of last season playoffs due to shoulder injury. His name was in the rumour factory prior to the trade dead line, but Memphis stuck with their winning combination and made it up to the first round of playoffs, where they were knocked out in seven games by the Memphis Grizzlies.
g*y was one of the main offensive weapons for the Grizzlies in the playoffs, but his performance in the first round remained inconsistent.
He however sounded confident of his efforts after the exit;
"You learn in the playoffs that you have to take care of the ball every possession and score almost every time," g*y said. "And you have to play great defence. Every time you lapse, it can come back and bite you. People really pick up their level of play in the playoffs, but you've got to sustain. I think I did OK."
The franchise owes him $53.6 million over the next three years and with stars like Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol already present and O.J. Mayo starting to live up to his potential, the Grizzlies seem to be going for more depth.
There will be a lot of clubs interested in having g*y. He is a brilliant ball handler, a good perpetrator and has shown his clutch capabilities in the last season.
He will be participating in the US Olympic training camp in Las Vegas next month and is planning to make improvements in his game this summer.
As far as his future is concerned, he can find a niche with inside Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls and Orlando Magic. The-25-year-old forward can be a perfect fit for a team looking to acquire a sharp shooter at the wings. Paired with a good point guard his performance can increase.
Memphis will also be able to create some space in the salary cap if they manage to pull off the trade.
