Memphis Grizzlies should stick with their swingman; Rudy g*y: NBA Special (Part-1)
The Memphis Grizzlies had a very good last season. They were not only brilliant on the court but their entire roster also played with big heart. The Grizzlies showed some excellent ball play and impressed many. Although, their
chances were very low to excel in the postseason but their entire team’s dedication was overwhelming which helped them reaching the Conference Semi-Finals.
From experienced players to young players, the Grizzlies entire roster was unstoppable against every opponent but few players had made unmatchable impression in 2010-2011 NBA season. Not only in the regular season but they kept
their thrust even in the post season and received acknowledgments from many basketball experts.
Apart from those experienced and full of talented players, the Grizzlies missed their thrilling swingman, Rudy g*y especially in the playoffs. He was injured in the middle of March and could not play further in the season. He dislocated
his left shoulder and surgery was needed to fix his shoulder. The surgery went successful but his rest of the 2010-2011 season was over.
The day he was injured, many basketball experts started speculating for his future career. They main reason they projected was his injury during crucial time. And when the Grizzlies played and advanced through to the first round
playoffs and showed some very impressive basketball against every opponent they faced during the playoffs campaign, these speculators further rumoured around as the Grizzlies are fine without Rudy g*y and should trade him in the offseason.
g*y on the other hand was also utterly disappointed the way things unfolded for him in the end but he still believed in his game and even spoke in the media via Ron Higgins who is a close fellow of Rudy g*y. g*y said as he will
always stayed behind with his team no matter whatever the outcome might be. He explained about his injury and playing chances for the Grizzlies
“This is going to be competitive series, regardless of what people think. Most people thought we wouldn't even make the playoffs, so we've proved them wrong the whole year. There are a lot of emotions and there should be. It's
the postseason, everybody wants to be here. It feels good for my teammates to still be playing basketball, to be out there happy and getting ready to be in a playoff. I still feel I can help. Sitting on the bench, I can see things that guys out on the floor
sometimes don't see. I can use my basketball I.Q. to see things and help my teammates.”
Rudy g*y, who had a relative good experience in the league, still can play well in for the Memphis Grizzlies. He played total 54 games last season but due to injury he could not play further in the offseason. He averaged 19.8 points,
6.20 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in the last season.
There are still many years ahead of him and the Grizzlies should keep in mind as replacing him with another potential players will be a big mistake as his abilities are still greater than any-other swingman.
