Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers – NBA Preview
On Tuesday night here at FedEx Forum Memphis Grizzlies will host the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lakers are currently 3rd and Memphis 4th, in the Western Conference, and the two will be facing each other for the second time in this NBA season. Grizzlies are eyeing their 16th win at home while they will strive to grab
their 25th victory overall.
On the other hand Lakers will try to improve to 8-14 on road and will be fighting for a 3 game winning streak.
Last time these two teams met each other at Staples Center on 8th of January. In that match Lakers edged out the visiting Grizzlies 90-82 after leading for much of the game.
5 Lakers recorded double figures while 3 of them had 10 rebounds, Kobe Bryant tallied a match high 26 and 9 assists while Matt Barnes had 15 points to go with 10 boards. Andrew Bynum had 15 points and 15 rebounds respectively.
They made 27 turnovers in the game that resulted into 26 points for Grizzlies and that was the only reason Memphis remained close in the game. Rudy g*y led the Grizzlies with 19 points while Marreese Speights collected 17 coming off the bench.
Now they will finally have a chance to settle scores on 13th of March.
Tony Allen, who has 10.5 points per game average, can play an influential role but all eyes are set on Rudy g*y. He is on song, recently averaging 18.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while he recorded his season best 26 points and 12 rebounds performance
on 7th.
On the contrary Lakers have a roster consisting of players like Kobe Bryant, with 15 years of experience and he is averaging 28.8 points and 5.7 boards this NBA season. He will be the greatest threat for Memphis in the upcoming match.
Moreover they will have to face Pau Gasol, 16.6 points per game, and Andrew Bynum, who is averaging 17.1 points along with an impressive 12.6 boards per game.
Memphis will have to devise a strategy to counter these 3 players particularly, while it is expected that the game will go down to the wire and whoever performs better in the clutch will walk away with the win.
