I just bought a car, and of course I love bass and i want to put a system in. I'm torn between 10" and 12" Memphis PR. I don't want to get 10"s and regret not getting 12"s. But i don't think i need 12"s. the 10's are smaller so i can save some space in the trunk. I have a Saab 9-3 btw. But one shop said 12's are more all around. and another shop said the 10's are more all around. I listen to all kinds of music mostly rap and alternative. if anyone has any info. it would be greatly appreciated

thanks

  1. There wont be a HUGE difference between the two choices.  The bigger subs can usually play deeper notes (lower frequencies) which will be useful for the rap music.  The 10's might have quicker response, and sound better with the alternative style music.  If space is really important, go with the 10's.  If deep rap bass is more important, grab the 12's.

  2. just remember bigger speaker bigger sound in most cases. tens give a tighter bass than a twelve. twelves give a mixture of a low and a mid type bass. but like i said bigger speaker more sound.

  3. Just for the space concerns, I would go for the 10s

Goosey definitely has the best answer here though.
