Men, Do you like modern women?

Question

Or do you feel we have lost that indefinable, ineffable 'something' ? ? That perhaps past generations of women possessed? Or do you find modern women simply spendid and a decided advancement on the prudery and self abnegation of women of another era?

There's nothing wrong with seamed stockings and a woman that believes her husband won't be coming back from the War. There is something wrong with a male-only league of celebrity footballers and a trophy wife that steps in as a self-appointed role-model for prostitutes and school-girls alike. That is all.

i don't think much of feminist-type women

modern women are not much different to women 50 years ago, no matter what feminists would like to think

most women want to have children regardless of where that leaves their careers and i am attracted to women who want to have children.

a woman's job or education level is totally irrelevant to me

Yep - modern women are great.

They earn a wage, pay their own way, and know what they want in the bedroom.  Its win win win for guys.

Its just a shame that so many 70s throwbacks spoil everything positive women have achieved with their man hate.

It depends what kind.

I prefer a "modern" woman that is financially independent, and can also help our relationship out together financially and disregards silly gender expections -- in other words, I, the male, doesn't ALWAYS have to pay for dates and everything else. We can help each other out.

I do not prefer the "modern" woman that has to constantly beat her chest about how "strong" and "independent" she is, and male-bash every chance she gets. I especially do not prefer the "modern" woman that is independent only when it benefits her; in other words, she would make as much, if not more money than me, yet still expects the male to pay for all dates, the rent, the car, and buy her gifts and buy her the ring -- while at the same time she refuses to change her last name and do other "traditional" sacrifices that women are expected to do.

I prefer todays modern woman as she frequently knows what she wants for herself rather than society telling her what she should be like.  Life today with a partner is about sharing ideas and thoughts for self development rather than what other eras and ideals should make you become.

I think its good that women have taken a chance to be successful in their lives without expecting men to wet nurse them.

I think its brill that majority of women no longer expect a man to pay for everything. Yet something has been lost, in any city you will find drunken loutish yoppish women who try to be men. Well theres nice about a foolish male and even worse with a woman.
