Did you feel powerless? What did you personally want to do at the time?

Im just curious for the male perspective.

And if you have children now do you ever think about it? And most importantly do you regret it?

What age were you when it occurred?

I recently had an ex-boyfriend call me in tears regretting this decision and am curious how other have coped.

Also did you break up afterwards?

  1. my current bf had an abortion with a previous girlfriend a very long time ago.. back then they let the guy go in during the procedure (which they no longer allow for security reasons)..

he said it was traumatic even for him but obviously more for his gf.. but still assumed I would have an abortion if he got me knocked up ?!? The funny thing is he's actually a very intelligent person, but that just seemed so stupid to me..

I'm 13 weeks now, and obviously not having an abortion.. he's not exactly excited but I think he's relieved that he doesn't have to see me going through what she did..

  2. Men think of it all in hypotheticals.

    The old adage:

"Woman become mother's when they find out they are pregnant....Men become father's when they hold their baby for the first time."

  3. I don't think men give it even half as much thought as women - it's not real to them.  Actually, I think a lot of them would be relieved that they're not going to have to play daddy.  There are, of course, a few sensitive men out there, but they're far outweighed by the rest of them.
