  1. Yes and No.  I would want to marry someone intelligent and that has achieved a similar educational level that I have.  Otherwise, I might get bored with that person mentally, not physically.  However, I.Q. can make up for a lot.

  2. No.  It's her personality not her profession that interests me.

  3. Yes and here is why. We judge people by what they are and do e.g,. jobs. What a person does for a living may rightly or wrongly reflect  his/her goals, dreams, drive, intellectual abilities etc. However, this may not always be so and that is why if you like someone, get to know them better. I lived in Cambridge, MA five minutes walk from Harvard Square and took my meals at a graduate residence. I sometimes felt intimidated what I thought are high achieving women and I thought to myself, what in the world would I do with a woman doing a PhD in Public Policy and how would I even survive dinner with her should she accept the invite. At the same time I met girls whom I thought would not challenge me simply by looking at what they do. I could have been wrong in all those instances but hey, we have a tendecy to do that a lot. Same thing when considering a man, take what he does for a living seriously.

  4. Depends.  I mean if she's a stripper...then yeah I won't date her.  If she's a porno actress....yeah I won't date her.  But usually I go after her personality and sometimes the job makes the personality.

  5. In an ideal world it shouldn't.  However that's not the case.  If your a pornstar, stripper, prostitute etc its going to effect how some men date/treat you.  It's just a fact.  Jealousy and all that will have an effect on your relationship.

If your talking about her being in say a higher position or social stature than the man (like she's a surgeon he's a garbageman) it really doesn't unless the subject is constantly being brought up.  Usually the social behaviors of the two individuals has more to do with it than anything.  If you hang out at the same spots, do the same things, and share some circle of friends the difference in jobs won't have anything to do with it.

  6. It may not be politically correct but I think that what someone does for a living has an impact but not because of income. In general someones occupation tells you about their education level, their interests and their ambition level. While it's not always true, you normally can expect a more interesting conversation from someone with an interesting job. The womans age has to be taken into consideration also. When a younger person has a menial job it's very possible that their career and education will advance. An older person with a menial job is either unmotivated or unintelligent unless they've devoted themselves to some interest other than a job

  7. (Apart from the fact that we don't have the concept of dating in the country that I live in.)

It is important in the sense that you want to share a dream or have something to talk about. I would not say I will not date a girl because of the job she is doing. On the other hand: a girl with an interesting job can be very attractive.

So, if I find a girl that I am interested enough to go for a rendez-vous, I will see what kind of person she is. I don't have to worry about her profession then.

  8. Yep. I wouldn't date a cop, or a stripper, etc.
