we always had carryout chinese from the local grocery store at the lake (a 45 min drive) on a blanket at a special spot on the shore. We did this every single thursday all summer. At the end of the summer I took a fortune cookie and opened it up and put will you marry me on a slip of paper and put it inside the cookie and glued it back together. When she opened the cookie that week she turned around and I was on my knee asking her to marry me. She liked it a lot. We have been married for 3 months this sunday. She is my everything. I love her sooo much!

here is a sad story.. my husband came up to the skyline at the end of my waitressing shift.. i was sitting at the counter having a smoke while i was waiting for him and he brings the ring in just to throw it in some guys face that liked me... how romantic ... idiot

My wife knew I had the ring already and that I was willing to propose, so if we went somewhere "special", she knew that I was going to pop the question.  Because of that I waited for the most unexpected time and place.  We were in her parents basement and I was hugging her and just told her how much I loved her and said a few other things.  It just so happened that she had her eyes closed while hugging me, so when she opened her eyes as I moved out of the hug, I was on one knee and proposed.  I don't think I ever heard such a loud scream!
