Men's Bathing Suits?

Question

Can someone tell me why all the new bathing suits don't have the classic innermesh lining in them? I think it's because people wear their boxers underneath the bathing suits, but I find this exremely stupid considering you would stay very wet for a very long time, and it would probably be quite uncomfortable. Besides, what did those mesh linings ever do to hurt anyone?

I only wear board shorts as a cover up over my brief style swimsuit so there is no need for a lining for me.  The board shorts have never had a lining, trunks did.  With board shorts becoming more popular finding a suit with the mesh liner will be increasingly more difficult.

I like to swim in jammer shorts. There are alot that have a liner that hangs just in the front of the shorts. If u wear any all Nylon, shorts u need the mesh lining to keep things from hanging out.
