Question:

Men in their twenties are after me (16)?

Whenever a guy likes me, it is always somebody in his twenties rather than another teenager. The teen boys usually don't notice me, but whenever my brother invites his friends over; or when I visit a college, there are always guys looking at me and trying to talk to me. I don't really look like a college girl, I actually look pretty young. I'm not that tall or busty. I am your average 16 year old girl who doesn't wear much makeup.

Some people even think I could pass for a brand new school teacher.

Is this telling me something?

  1. Maybe you look older than you are.  Sounds like that to me.

  2. 4 years isn't that much of a difference............

  3. I have not a clue but it is telling me that those guys better get there heads out of the gutter before it winds them up doing 20 for 16.

  4. Are you sure you don't look mature for your age, you know like you might pass for 21 or something.

  5. i joined the military at 17 and got this all the time. 1-you are probably pretty cute and 2-guys LOVE the lure of an underage girl

now is it that big of a deal to date a 20y/o guy when you're sixteen? not really, but that's the upper age i'd date at 16.

  6. you probably look like your in your 20's, maybe the guys in your school get intimidated by that and become shy, post a picture, then we could tell you for sure

  7. well.. college guys are at that stage i guess. anybody passes as long as they're a female and have a slight shape =P

maybe you're just quiet. be a little louder and you'll get noticed by teens too!

  8. Julie is correct, to a very fine point.  Yes, older men (in many cases) can't resist the allure somebody much younger, and in many cases go after girls that are under the age of majority.  It's actually pretty common.

The part that she neglected, however, is that boys in your age range are totally not noticing you because in a lot of cases, they've got their mind set on an older woman (not by much, but just old enough to appear sexually/physically mature, with the kind of features men typically look for in a woman).

You actually sound a lot like my fiancee when she was your age.  She was 16 dating a 21 year old, then 17 dating a 22 year old.  I met her shortly after she turned 18, and we hit it off really well.  I was 21 at the time.

What I'm getting at though, is that it very well might be hard for you to find a man that isn't a sleazeball until after you turn 18.  Once you're legal, most of the significantly older men will lay off, and the slightly older men will start showing an interest.  I say give one of these a chance, because usually they better know what they want out of life (and in a woman) than somebody from your age group.  Also, you're probably not missing much from guys in your age range.  Most of them are socially inept, and really only looking for one thing.

Hope my rambling response helped you some.  Either way, good luck in life, and love.

  9. i think as guys get into their early 20s, their definition of what's attractive broadens. i am 20 right now. i remember when i was 16-17, i had a pretty narrow definition of what's attractive and a lot of the types of girls i am attracted to now, back then i would not have been into. and a lot of the girls i was into back then, i less obsessed with now. it comes with age and meeting different types of women.

but it's still kinda weird. i am less attracted to younger looking girls right now than i was when i was younger. i don't thinik college guys are more turned on by younger girls than high school boys are. so i don't see why they'd be into a 16 year old.
