  1. tim, you would starve on the LPGA, equal rights or no equal rights.

  2. It's not the WPGA...it's the LPGA.

Read their bylaws and find out if their organisation excepts men.  Same with their developmental tour (the Futures Tour).

Or, you can always write the various sponsors and see if they will grant you a sponsor's exemption (which is how Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie got into the PGA TOUR events they played in).

  3. Equal rights for women only seem to work for women so I don't think they would let you play.

  4. No you cannot. The LPGA specifically requires that you be "born a female" to play on their tour. The PGA has no gender specific rules.

And men playing on the LPGA Tour is not an equal right issue. The LPGA is a second tier league, started because the best woman in the world traditionally do not have the ability to compete at the same level as the best men in the world. Letting men on the LPGA Tour would kind of be like allowing a 250lb boxer have a shot at the world title in the flyweight division, or allowing a 30 year old to play on the Champions Tour.

  5. But you have a trophy of power (weiner) which means you are still above them. Sorry you cannot play in the women's sports <----lol league

  6. It's LPGA, by the way, and this is one of the those arguments I have never understood (assuming you are being serious).

The "L" in LPGA stands for ladies. There is nothing in PGA (Professional Golf Association) that says, or even insinuates, that it is a "mens" tour.

If you are referring to the "unfairness" of sponsors exemptions than I'm sure that we can all rest easy knowing that Annika's two day stint on the PGA tour drew the biggest ratings for weekday golf in the history of the PGA tour (that's right, majors included) and that is exactly what they are supposed to do.

  7. Actually PGA is an open championship, that means it's open to anybody men, women, transvestites, aliens, etc.  The reason its full of men is because women have not been able to qualify, or decline from playing as they cannot win.  But if a woman wants to play, she can by getting a tour card, or getting a sponsor exemption, like Michelle Wie, or Annika Sorenstam.

On the other hand, LPGA is Ladies PGA.  So no, men cannot play in LPGA.

Now it would be a different story if there is a GPGA.  In that case it would be open to gentlemen only.  But what's the point, the men already have the PGA.
