Men what are your preferences when it comes to females and hair?

I had an interesting discussion with a man today about women's hair. He said that ALL men prefer women with hair that is at least a little passed their shoulders IF not longer.

Now I don't think this is necessarily true for all men but I thought it was interesting none the less. I've always thought it wouldn't really matter if she had longer hair, short hair, no hair, whatever as long as she was attractive and a good person.

Do you agree with this? If so, what is particularly attractive about a woman with long hair over a woman with shorter hair?

If you just don't care one way or the other, feel free to state that opinion as well.

It has to be feminine.

If its cut like a boy, it isnt attractive hair.

It doesnt have to be longer than the shoulders, I guess, but what can you do to make it shorter AND feminine?  Not too much

Your second paragraph is hypocritical.  If you honestly dont think hair matters to men, why the h**l do women spend five hours per day on it?

i'm not a man, but i'll answer from what my brothers, boyfriend and ex boyfriends have told me.

first off, you certainly cannot say "every" man likes women with long hair. how can the guy speak for all men? my brothers all tend to like girls with short hair, but they have dated both.

my boyfriend likes girls with unconventional hair, something unique, so when i had super short cropped hair he loved it. all of my exes liked girls with short hair, but all of my exes were slighty left-of-center and maybe had odd preferences? i dunno.

ultimately, like with us, i think the hair is only a minor drop in the bucket. my hair is currently shoulder length and my guy likes that too. i think he just likes me.

I agree that it isn't true for ALL men. My love generally prefers short hair on girls, although I keep my hair long because short hair looks awful on me. (He does like the long hair on me, but his USUAL preference is short hair, and I did have short, pixy hair when I met him.)

Most men do prefer longer hair though, in my experience. It looks more feminine. But any time someone claims that ALL of a certain group feel a certain way, they are just projecting their own feelings onto everyone else. We're all individuals, it's impossible for ALL of us to like anything.

It depends on the woman, but yeah, women with long hair rock the planet.

Most short-haired women look "corporate practical," which is cool if that's what they want, (and they have corp-climbing $$$ on their mind) but it's not appealing to me.

Give me a woman that bucks that and it fires me on every level.

While there are many hairstyles I like, my favorite is this one.

Brunette hair just past shoulder-length, but then tied up into a ponytail.  Then bangs out the front over the forehead and ending to just above the eyes.  Maybe a ribbon to hold the ponytail together if she likes; if so white or pink ribbon is my favorite.  But a rubberband works also; and it helps to give her a more sophisticated look without the ribbon.

short hair is about as appealing to us as massively hairy (like a guy's) legs would be - it isnt feminine. it's like a guy

Guys that want the head, or the legs, or whatever to be 'LIKE A GUY', tend to WANT a guy.

I dated a woman with short hair once. Turned out she was just "switiching sides" temporarily, to "see what it's like".

I didnt appreciate her using me like that.

YOU could find exceptions. On EVERYthing there are "exceptions".

But it won't make what I've told you wrong.

It depends on the woman. For instance, Jamie Lee Curtis would have never looked good with long hair.

Demi Moore looks good both ways, and there are many actresses that would look horrible with short hair.

I like a woman to have long hair because its easier to pull during s*x. ~LOL~
