Question:

Mendenhall For Rice?

I have McGahee and I want Rice as a handcuff in a very deep league with 16 teams but he is already owned so I will have to trade for him. Would it be a good trade for me if I dealt Rashard Mendenhall, Pit RB, for Ray Rice, Bal RB?

  1. Not a doubt it is a great trade for you. It locks you into having a solid starting RB spot for certain.

  2. I would if I were you, unless you're in a keepers league.McGahee is always injured and Baltimore has no RB after Rice, so when one is injured expect a bunch of touches. Also, Cam Cameron is the OC and he loves to get the ball in his RBs hands. For example, Ronnie Brown came out of nowhere last year and was the RB in the league until he got hurt. However, I personally am not high on Mendenhall. I think out of the rookie RBs, that Mendenhall is the most likely to be a bust. I don't know why, but everyone has forgot about Willie Parker. I expect the Steelers to lean on Parker a little more than what everyone else thinks.

So, I think it would be a great trade. He's an insurance policy for McGahee. Also, even when McGahee is healthy, Rice will still get about 10 to 15 touches a game.
