Mendes Player of the year already ?

I was listening to sportsound after the game yesterday and Jim Trainer not only made Mendes his MotM fo the third time in a row but he gave him player of the season ....

motm yes,but as bluebell said it is way too early for player of the season especially as he has only played 3 matches so far.If he plays throughout the rest of the season like he has done so far then he will be in the running for it.

Judging on the 3 games he has played he has been great.  IMO player of the years can not be decided in September.  If he consistantly plays great until May then yes, remember Marco Negri?  Great first half of the season then he wasnt heard of after Christmas

agree with the motm..but far too early for player of the season..i for one am hoping he gets better but christ give the guy a chance..lol

Jim Trainer is a complete potato, as is chic young.

With Trainer its his opinion and only his opinion, i mean come on,  he was signing the praises of Miller yesterday and of how a great player he is but every football fan and pundit know one game doesnt make a player

but Helen it was Billy Dodds that voted for Mendes, just Trainer who wouldnt shut up about him. I was listening and he was happy to rip into the performances of the celtic players but every word on the rangers lads was gospel
