Mending ripped jeans?

My blokes gone away to Iraq ans ive sorted out some of his clothes and found a fave pair of his jeans that he ripped. The heabns have naff stiching and stuff all over them, theyre designer...i hate them personally but he asked me if i could mend them and i want to do it properly

The rip is down the thigh in a straight line, but i dont know how to stitch them without making a mess!! help!

Cheat on your fellow and take them to a repair shop, usually dry cleaners can do it.

But you can admit to it after he says how wonderful you are to stop yourself being guilty!
