Question:

Menstrual lining discharge?

It sounds gross, but I haven't found anything useful in my private search. I just had a huge lining come out of me, (about the size of two pinky fingers...) during my menstrual cycle. I just want to know if it's normal, or if not, exactly what it was... The scariest part was that it almost looked like a sack to hold something.

If this info is important, I started birth control 34 days ago and missed my monthly period before this one.

  1. Yes, it can be normal for some women to have the lining coming out like that during a period.  This would be classified as a clot.  If this clot is bigger than the size of a quarter then start counting how many times you notice it and let the doctor know.

When I was on the pill I still continued to have clots during my period.

You mentioned that you missed a period, and yes these clots could be a bit left over when it came to what built up because of missing the period (an example only).

I would recommend checking with your doctor on this as well to see what they say.
