I was subscribed ritalin for my Ad/hd, being the weekend, I have not gone to the chemist yet.

What I would like to know is, will ritalin change me? I've gone on like I have been for a long time; I'm 22 now, in year 10 was diagnosed with Ad/hd, but my parents never really tool it on board.

So, will ritalin change who Iam as a person? Will it affect my mind or what not, or will it make me who I was supposed to be, if I didn't have Ad/hd, if you gather?

  1. i've tried a c**p-ton of different meds for a c**p-ton of mental disorders... the only change you will experience will be in side effects.  some make you more aware/energetic and others make you more tired/lathargic.  don't get that confused with peppy and optimistic or cynical and depressed.

the worst i ever had was feeling no emotion.  so i quit taking it.  and you can also do that (though you should mention it to your doc first so you get off it gradually and not put your body in shock)

  2. No it will only make it easier for you to be who you are .
