Mentos and soda project (help)?

o, we watched a mythbusters video in science about this 2 days ago. there are lots of different contributers to the reaction between mentos and soda. the main ones are CO2, the artificial sweetener in the soda, caffiene,and a afew other ones which i cannot remmebr. but the main reason, for it is, when u drop a mento into a bottle of diet coke,  little tiny holes, "craters", give space for CO2 to gather up and form bubbles, and since gaseuos CO2 is less dense then liquid CO2, it rises, and starts building pressure in the bottle, which then erupts and creates a geyser. this also explains why, flavored mentos do not work as well, because they are covered in a flavored wax which covers up most of the holes, so the geyser is not as high. i hope i helped.
