Mercedes GP will undergo further upgradations before Monza

Mercedes GP has announced to make some further upgradations to their blown diffuser before they enter the next round of the season, at Monza, for the Italian Grand Prix.
The race is scheduled to take place in two week’s time and all teams are preparing really hard as the Formula One season has entered its last and most crucial part.
The team is already using the blown diffuser technology and had it fixed a few times earlier as well but in the last few races they experienced an overheating issue. Though they had already struggled hard to have the problem rectified yet they announced today again that some more upgradations are required before they can make their car more competitive.
The team has carried extensive work to improve their car, especially before they headed for the Belgian Grand Prix however the team had a tough weekend it terms of car performance.
The Mercedes GP team principal, Ross Brawn talked to the press following the race saying, “MGP W01 did not enjoy a problem free weekend.”
He also added that though the team thought that further developments would not be made to the 2010 car however, the blown diffuser system needs to be taken care of before the Formula One caravan heads toward its next race.
Last week, the Belgian Grand Prix was not a very poor one for Mercedes GP drivers despite the fact that they had to struggle with technical problems of the car as well as the tough weather conditions offered by the track. The seven times Formula One Champion, Michael Schumacher finished his race at seventh place, while his teammate Nico Rosberg ended a place ahead of him at sixth. Schumacher holds the record of highest race wins at Spa track with six victories here in his early career.
Although Brawn told that he is very satisfied with the drivers, however while talking about the car he said, "It is not completely solved."
"We are a bit frustrated that we have not found a solution yet,” he further added.
He explained the issue saying that different kinds of materials can be used on the floor in the area which is suffering and the team had not anticipated earlier that it could get as hot as it did.
He concluded saying, “Obviously the way the exhaust gas moves around the floor it is sometimes difficult to predict. It is not perfect and there will be a revision for Monza.”
