Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg: I am really looking forward to 2011 Brazilian GP – Formula 1 news
Mercedes GP driver Nico Rosberg has said that he is really looking forward to 2011 Brazilian race weekend, which will be held at the Sao Paulo racetrack on November 27.
Rosberg added that the Sao Paulo racetrack is amazing to drive at and therefore, he is targeting to have a better raceday in Brazil this weekend.
The German talked to the media and mentioned that in the last couple of race weekends of the 2011 Formula 1 season, they have made some steps forward without having any major and big updates on their MGP-W02 car, so he believes they will again have a good
race weekend in Brazil.
The Petronas-sponsored team driver further added that he would love to give the 2011 F1 season a nice ending. In addition, he stated that the team’s engineers, the boys in the garage and every member at their Mercedes factories in Brackley and Brixworth
deserve a good result at the last race of the season.
Talking to reporters, Rosberg commented, “The stronger qualifying and race pace in Abu Dhabi makes me confident that we can push and try to catch one of the cars from the top three teams at Interlagos. Our Mercedes engine power and the top speed in the car
will be good for getting up the hill on the long start-finish straight.”
He went on to say, “The Interlagos track is amazing to drive, and in the last weeks we have made some steps forward without having any big updates on the car, so it should be a good weekend.”
Apart from that, the 26-year-old driver discussed the 2011 Abu Dhabi race weekend and said that he had stronger qualifying round and race pace at the Yas Marina Circuit. He added that his better performance in Abu Dhabi made him confident for the last round
of the ongoing season.
Rosberg is sure the last race of the season will be among Ferrari, Red Bull Racing and McLaren. He continued that Mercedes GP have to struggle to compete with these top three teams throughout the Brazil race weekend in order to get better results.
Let’s see how the Petronas-sponsored team perform in Brazil at Interlagos this weekend.
