Mercedes ML350 versus BMW X5??

I need educated opinions. This is for a 16 year old. First car. Which one is better??

The X5 handles better, brakes better, and looks better, and of course costs more.

16 year olds get in accidents.  Don't spend a lot on the first car, maybe the second one.  Also since gas is going up they may want a car that is more economical at the pump.

Not to be rude, but buying that expensive of a car, thats a gas guzzer, not to say the least, is totally rediculous, if you even are telling the truth.

And as of the cars, the mercedes is better, better handling, more features, better styling. BMW has looked almost the same for the last 8 years.

Trust me kiddo, have fun driving your car for the three weeks it'll last.
