Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg says his career future plans is not up for discussion: Formula 1 News
Recent reports have revealed that Mercedes' GP driver, Nico Rosberg, insisted that the talks about his career future plans is not a main topic for him right now, as he is busy, focused on helping to push his current team to the front of the F1 grid.
In previous days, the German had possible vacancies in both Ferrari and Red Bull Racing team. Presently, he is performing very strong on the grid with Mercedes team. However, it is his wish to be a part of this team in the future also.
On the back of the rumours of his switching to another team, he said at the end of Turkish Friday's practice one session that he is not thinking about any team, other than Mercedes. And, at this moment when is struggling for the team, it’s not really a topic
for him.
The 25-year-old driver has completed his second fastest run ahead of his team-mate Michael Schumacher. So, it is a best time for Rosberg to make more improvements in his performance. He must work hard and try his best to put his team on the top of spot in
Sunday race.
After the Chinese race, he aimed to get a podium position in Turkish Grand Prix. However, he is enjoying this moment, as he feels that he is moving towards his 2011 season’s success.
Rosberg added, “It is great with Ross [Brawn] and all the people who are here. It is a great situation to work very hard with the challenge of improving as a team to move forward. And hopefully get some even better results soon."
The team started their free practice-one session full on wet tyres, as there was a light rain in the morning. Rosberg went on to say, "There is a lot possible here with the tyre degradation, with the strategy, and it can have a big influence on the race.
Strategy wise, we are definitely set up very, very well with Ross Brawn and James Vowles and Andrew Shovlin doing the work. They are fantastic in that area so that will be one of our strengths."
After successful free practice one session, the team is looking forward to its first pole place in the second free practice, which will take place in next few minutes.
