Ross Brawn says Mercedes are trying hard to make essential improvements – Formula 1 news
Mercedes team principal, Ross Brawn has said that they are trying really hard to make the essential improvements so as to prepare themselves for all kinds of circuits.
Brawn said that they have struggled during the last few races as their car W03 doesn’t suit all tracks. Moreover, he said that even though they faced difficulties during the qualifying of the Canadian GP, however, they managed to perform well during the
race.
On the other hand, he said that they performed differently in the Monaco and Hungarian grands prix as there is a distinction in both the circuits.
Furthermore, he said that their main concern right now is to make the necessary enhancements in the pace of their car for all types of tracks. Nevertheless, he said that they are making some sound advancement in this regard and are hoping to see improvements
in the season ahead.
"I think in Montreal we made a bit of hash of qualifying, but we were pretty good in the race," he said. "For Hungary, someone asked me why we were not competitive there but competitive at Monaco, but I think they are different circuits. If you look at long
corners you have at Hungaroring, they are not same as Monaco in any shape. Our car suits some tracks and, what we have to do is produce a car that is competitive on all circuits. That is our priority. There is a massive amount of work going on to improve the
situation."
