Mercedes vs Maserati?

Question

I'm deciding between a Mercedes SL55 AMG and a Maserati Quattroporte. Which looks cooler, and has a better image? Please answer if u have actually seen both cars..

The Mercedes might be more common, but it is a smarter choice.

As long as you're still looking, check out the CL55 AMG. It's more comfortable than the SL55, and is more of a status symbol, since there were very few produced. It's still very fast,,,,,,,it's a 4-seat luxury sports car.

My neighbor has a Maserati Quattroporte. It's in the shop more than it's on the road. Go for the AMG.

Those are both beautiful but very different cars.  The SL is a 2-door hard-top convertible roadster while the Quattroporte is a luxury 4-door sedan.  

If you want the practicality of a sedan, go for the Maserati.  If you already have another vehicle and you're looking for more of a personal luxury toy ( not carrying more than one passenger, not requiring much luggage space, etc. ), the Benz may be more for you.

Maserati because you barely see them. Have you ever thought about one of the new Porches? Very nice.

the new SL55 is more of a "I have lots of money and I like to let the world know it" type of car.  The Quattroporte is like this as well, but more subtle and more people can recognize the SL55 much quicker than a Quattroporte.  

So I guess having the Benz is like arriving at a party and shouting "Hey I'm Here, Look at me!"  While having the Quattroporte is like arriving at a party and having people around you whisper "WOW, look who just go here."

We'll a mercedes sl55 is great but a Maserati Quattroporte tells people that you are a successful man in this world who worked hard and got wat he wanted!

I think the mercedes look cooler on the outside, but the masarati will have the cooler inside. The trims offered by maserati is going to be better than the mercedes, but if you buy cars for the looks and fame, than i suggest the maserati. but if you're looking for a car for their performances, then i would go with the mercedes!

The SL55 AMG  is a clasic automobile that will be sought after for years to come. the Quattroporte the jury is still out on. The interior is beautiful but the overall apperance IMHO is ugly. I know the reveiws on it were lacking in power and handling but the ride itself was great. If you want a inexpensive Bentley I would go for the Maserati, If you want a race car with all the options I would get the SL55 AMG. Check out "Modified Luxury & Exotics" Magazine they just did a reveiw on the Quattroporte. The Mercedes speaks for itself. Good luck making a tough decision.

Since you're looking into the SL55 why not go for the Maserati Gran Turismo, it's the same price as the Quattroporte~ even cheaper depending on the trim you select.

Maserati Quattroporte for sure. But its also very expensive
