Mercruiser 3.0L 135 hp. What auto engine is it based on.?

Its a very basic engine and I am trying to source valve guides and valves. Does anyone know the make and model of automotive motor this is marinised from?

  1. It is NOT a 6-cylinder, it is 4.  They used it on the old Chevy II.  I've told autozone I had a 65 Chevy II to get the right coil.
