Mercruiser Propeller qa1916x black diamond HELP?

Question

Can you install the hub kit into the quickstar black diamond prop yourself? My propeller looks good but I believe I need a hub kit..I have tried to tap the old hub out but it seems impossible.I need a flo torqu kit but just wondering can I just buy the kit or should I just get the old prop rebuilt? If anyone knows how to get the old hub out of the old prop could you please help????????

Send, or better yet take it to a prop shop.  The old hus is often heated to get it out, then the new one is pressed in. There is an adhesive used on most if not all hubs.   I hope this helps.  Good luck!!!!

You need a hydraulic press to change the hub. Send it to a prop shop.

Your best bet would be to send it off and have it re-hubbed.... this is the company we use...
