Mercruiser engine mounts?

The lag bolts on my motor mounts are starting to back out quite a bit actually can i just tighten them down without losing motor alignment??

Yes you can tighten them down without a problem as long as your mounts are not rotten.If they are there is a product you can get called Git-Rot.I have used it many times and it works great.You just pour it in the bolts holes until they fill up and it rebuilds your mounts.As for your alignment, check it the next time you have the drive off to grease your u-joints. If there backing out they maybe striped out try tighten them> See if longer 1s will work or clean out the hole with a drill bit fill with a good Hard Epoxy paste> Let dry then re drill> Remount> It won't affect the aliment>only the adjustment on the top will>
