  1. If you are a guy thunderbird only. cougars are a chick car.

  2. Lot of difference in those two.. 2nd year of the Cougar, a upgraded Mustang..  The Thunderbird was like a baby Lincoln..Lincoln Continental Mark III - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

  3. both junk

  4. Both cars are beautiful in their own right. The T-Bird in those years came with 390, 428, motors and loads of horsepower, of course they are large full sized luxury cars weighing about 4500 lbs. I have driven many older T-Birds and love them. They make one very different looking hot rod, I have only seen a few customized but they are nice and different.

The 68 Cougar is awesome muscle car and I love those too. The right one will come with the same engine as the T-Bird but in a much lighter body. Cougars offer many luxury options also but at the same time they are great muscle cars. Many Cougars are optioned with 390 4spd and more. Just depends on your choice. Either way there are many parts available for both. Why not just buy both. You see a lot less T-Birds in these years but you have to ask yourself how much you want to spend and how much work is needed with them.

  5. Cougar are faster better and loud and an american muscle to.

  6. Thunderbird. Name itself is more intriguing.
