Mercury color?

how many colors of mercury do we have? i only know of silver and someone said there is read too.

I only know the silver colour one.Maybe that someone was referring to a thermometer with a red column and thought it to be mercury but actually is a red dyed alcohol.It is used for less precise thermometers.

Mercury, as an element is silver coloured, but different compounds of it are different colours, Cinnabar and Mercury (II) Iodide look reddish in colour, but that's not mercury as we know it. Some people think it can be a 'ballotechnic' compound of mercury, but I'm not that good a chemist to understand the meaning of this, but check out the link :)
