Mercury cougar 99 leaking power steering and a little oil???

Question

I dont understand i have had this car a little over a year and I was in the navy so i didnt drive it for about 7 months it got moved here and there but anyways i went to go drive it again and changed my tires then all of a sudden that same day it started leaking power steering a just a little bit of oil. WHY??????

When cars sit they tend to have gaskets and rubber that dry rot. When it rains it pours.

Worst thing you can do to a vehicle is let it set. the sealing surfaces dry out and harden. Good luck, you may be in for a bit more of these.
