Merge the Loonie and the Greenback?

Would it make any sense to tie the Canadian Loonie to the American greenback? The constant vacillations must be hard for business dealings and trade between the two nations. What say you?

No.  When the loonie goes down it is great for business generally and tourism in Canada.
