  1. That horse is BEAUTIFUL.

I just think its a shame that the matador is on that horse and not on the ground himself. If they had an accident that beautiful horse would be the first victim. I have seen a horse been lifted up by a single horn of a bull. Of course the rider was fine but it was the horse who had its stomach ripped open, not the man.

I would rather watch the pair of them just ride all day instead of seeing them in a bullfighting ring.

I do wonder though how much the horse has to listen to the rider in that situation when his instincts should lead his feet instead.

    God help that horse.

It all looks magnificent, but it takes one mistake to end it all.

  2. That was very cool...!

I searched his name on youtube and got a whole bunch of different videos of him riding, hopefully I watched the right ones... Haha. Either way though, what I saw was incredible.

I'm not much for the tradition, but I certainly appreciate the communication between horse and rider and the beauty of it. The way that the horse and him move together is just amazing... Leaves you speechless. Thanks for sharing that!!

  3. If that horse was human, he would be the HOTTEST GUY ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!!!! and would also be a fantastic dancer.......very impressive........

  4. WOW!  Some stuff he does reminds me of a cutting horse...but he does it more elegantly.  But then that running sideways stuff...that is a horse that is very athletic and very aware of his capabilities.  I wish he'd come talk to MY horses...

    Thanks for sharing!

  5. He makes me think of two things:

    1. A fascinating mixture of dressage and cutting.

    2. The instincts, trust, courage, and movements war horses must have had back in the days of mounted battle.

  6. I have seen that before but it's certainly worth watching more than once. They are amazing and it's breathtaking to watch.

When you consider that the roots of dressage are military battle maneuvers - this  just shows exactly how.

    Primitive dressage - I love that !

  7. I love how that horse can MOVE!  My whole computer is glitchy this morning...so I can't see the video right now...but I've seen it before.  No matter what your opinion is of the bullfighting...the communication between that horse and rider is outstanding!!

**EDIT...hey! It posted!  Now I can go look around....maybe...

  8. It is something to see alright.

  9. Amazing horse!

John, this is certainly without the danger, but you will enjoy the rider-horse relationship in this video:

There is a pause, so be sure to watch the finale.

  10. HAHA-I so agree with Redial on this one!!!

    Absolutely stunning work.

  11. I found it on youtube, and I was AMAZED!  That horse can move, and I didn't see that bull touch him once.  It looked like they were dancing.  Pablo and Merlin looked like they were one in the same.  Wow, thanks for posting!

But I did feel that what they were doing was very dangerous.  I think it would be nice to see them perform in general, not just in the bullfighting ring.  I know that nothing happened, but something could have, and I have heard of terrible accidents in the ring.  But I do think they are a wonderful pair.
