Merlins Myth to prevail in the Grade OR Sittingbourne Seniors Stakes - Heat 1
Merlins Myth and Hudsons Donkey will battle it out in the Grade OR Sittingbourne Seniors Stakes - Heat 1 at Sittingbourne on 24th June, 2012.
Bringing their superior racing skills to the track, it is hard to say which one of these hounds will succeed, and who will fall behind.
Merlins Myth, will be taking on the familiar distance of 480 metres for a purse of £100, and chances are that he will land the victory.
The son of Top Honcho, out of Dairyland Sue, has two consecutive finishes as runner-up to his name, and now is the time to break out of his consistency.
The black hound narrowly missed the victory by a small margin of a neck in the Grade OR Sittingbourne Standard - Div 1 on 17th June, 2012, where the victory was notched by, Lenson Mac, in 29.24 seconds.
The runner is bringing all he has to the track, as he will enter the race from trap 1 with 7 to 2 odds.
Hudsons Donkeys, also trained by A. Collett, will try to bounce back from his fifth place finish in the Grade OR A2 480m Flat race at Sittingbourne on 16th June, 2012.
The son of Magical Captain, out of mare Shelbourne Nina, performed brilliantly in previous races, when he aced the Grade A3 480m flat on the same track on 9thJune, 2012.
He claimed victory over the G. Andreas trained, Big Gift Horse, by 2 ¼ lengths in 29.24 seconds.
Entering the race from trap 3 with a winning shot of 10 to 1, Hudsons Donkey is up against some tough runners, and there is a possibility that he might find winning form, and steal the show, but for that, he will have to work much harder.
This race belongs to, Merlins Myth, who has raced on this track before, and seems to be in good form, with a little extra effort, the crown is his.
