  1. 1. mermaids are greek myths.they are closely related to sirens. when sailors would go out to sea, they would become entranced by the mermaids songs. they would sing these songs in order to seduce the men so they could become immortal.

2.no,i dont believe they exist,if they did,we would have discovered them by now.

    3. i think that the topic makes good fantasy stories.

4.if u try too,u will end up looking stupid.trust me on that one

5.i would paint your room turqouise and paint aquatic creatures on the wall.my friend has a room like this.email me and i will send u a pic when i can

  2. Well I know that mermaid are very real entities... And that they still exist in the oceans and seas around this world... I know that every ancient sea faring country has mermaid lore that go back to the very dawn of mankind... I also know that the ancient Egyptians and Greeks and Romans and other sea faring countries of that time period has tons of mythology stories about mermaids.... I just refuse to believe after what I witness that many of these mythological stories are considered lies when mermaids are still being captured by fishermen in today's world....... I also believe that mermaids have a dark side that is still being written about by current scientist and average people.........  I am still wondering why the Governments of this world still wish to keep their existences top secret......  And I also wonder why Roman historian not just writers but historians wrote about mermaid if they really did not exist.... The sad thing is that a trip to your local library could make it possible to read these things for your self............

  3. 1. Mermaids live in the water and swim around with the fish and have fun.

    2. I do not believe that mermaids exist, but I like to imagine that they do.

    3. Personally, I LOVE mermaids. If I could be one mythological creature, I'd pick mermaid. I love the water too! lol

    4. You mean like hold your breath for a long period of time? I dunno, sounds hard. Mermaids swim real beautifully and graceful, I don't think I could ever master that.

    5. Paint at least part of the walls blue, have seaweed hanging from the ceiling, paint or draw or paste or somehow put like fish and sea creatures on the walls or get seashells to decorate. Ooo... and have lots of mirrors in the room. That'd be way cool!

    good luck!

  4. 1) Mermaids are very good at hiding are rarely seen. They can also be very self-absorbed and vain.

    2) Yes, i do believe in mermaids.

    3) I think they're pretty cool.

    4) Keep your feet together and swim up and down in a wiggly motion.

    5) Paint the walls different shades of blue and maybe decorate your room with things from the beach/sea. You could also paint the floor light yellow like sand.

  5. In regards to mermaids (or sirens) I think it should be known that they often had a mean streak, and could be vicious.  In Homer's "The Odessy", mermaids sing to the sailors to lure them towards the rock so that their ship will be smashed to peices.  Their song is said to be irresistable.  I would get a llarge fish tank for your room, paint an underwater scene with aquatic fish and plants, as well as bubbles and rays of sunlight coming through the water.  like a giant mural.  Maybe even paint a coral reef...get beanbag chairs in shades of blue and put them in your room.  Hang blank cd's glued togeather(with fishing line)  from your ceiling for bubbles, and put fishnet on the walls.  Glue shells around the doorframe, a pictureframe, or a mirror.
