Question:

Mermaid question please?

Apparently there is a spell that can turn you into a mermaid if you are touching water. Can you give me the spell? Also, has it worked for anyone? And don't say they're not real, please. Some can't prove they are, but you can't prove they're NOT. It's better not to prove it at all, anyways.

Polite answers, and also, I'm worried about going swimming. When I touch water and get a tail, wouldn't that scare people? Okay, thank-you!

  1. Yep..most likely the government will capture you and do tests on you, so you'll never be able to swim again. You won't be able to shower ever again either.  How will you be able to stand once the tail pops out?  You will have to be creative with your shampooing.  And if you take a bath, will your legs/butt ever really get clean?  It will turn into something else, then return when you are out of the water.  Sounds nasty.  You'll also have to pray for no rain for the rest of your life.  Imagine walking around a fair or carnival and a downpour happens?  Again, you will be captured and tested in a laboratory...or sent to the circus.  Washing dishes will be tough...you'll have to have a chair modified for that.

Think all of this through before doing a mermaid spell.  The saying "be careful what you wish for" is very true.

  2. "Uuuum, I thought I said polite answers you jerks! I oughta report you! I asked it for a reason."

~ Ask a silly question, get some silly answers.  Those who have told you the truth are not being impolite, they are simply telling you the truth, which apparently you don't want to hear?

But here it is - H2O is a fictional TV show, there is no *real* spell that will make you be like one of the H2O girls.  Hollywood costumes and special effects do that "magic".

"What is Yahoo! Answers coming to these days?"

~ My question exactly.  Along with, why are teenagers unable to distinguish fantasy/fictional entertainment from reality these days?  There is no such thing as a spell that will change you into a different species.  If there was, this witch might be tempted to turn herself into a labrador retriever so I could live life like my dog.

"All the other questions just like this get real answers."

~ All of the answers are real answers, typed by real people - they just might not be correct answers.  Or does your definition of "real" mean "only what I want to hear"?  Do a Y!A search for "mermaid spell" and see what kind of answers all the other questions like this have gotten.

  3. How is it rude if someone tells you that there's no way to get what you're asking for? It isn't. It's informative. How can you say that someone is being rude just because they disagree with you and are trying to prove you wrong? You believe in mermaids. GOOD FOR YOU. Clearly, the rest of us have rational minds, and we are intelligent enough to realize that mermaids don't exist. I only wish that you could say a spell that could give you such intelligence.

People answer your question to give you the best possible advice/answer. And that answer is that mermaids do not exist, and even if, in some far out dream world, they did, there is no way you could become one.

It's not about having imagination. It's about having common sense.

Also, if people really have succeeded in transforming into mermaids, how do you explain the fact that nobody has ever seen it?

  4. I don't know who told you this but its utter nonsense.

  5. "You people have no imagination" - So you're admiting it's imaginary? Sorry, not trying to be mean, but I think you meant to word that differently. ;)

Here's how I answered a similar question (too lazy to retype it all :P):

Okay...what's up with the trillions of questions like this?

Once again I'll say it, you cannot magically become a mermaid. Not only is it impossible to go from one species to another (as you can see, I'm not doubting their existence in any way) but a spell couldn't do that. I'm Wiccan. I do spells. I know how they work and how they don't.

I know that now you probably think it's possible, but trust me, I went through the same phase with another thing and when I finally realized that it wasn't true, I felt like an idiot, probably because I was so hardcore into it that I got super defensive and actually yelled at people for saying what I thought was real wasn't.

Please, for the love of all things good, do not be like I was. Just accept that that's not real and try to find something more real that's exiciting for you. For me, it was Wicca. For you, well, who knows what it'll be?

  6. Just a follow-up to Goblin g staight forward answer... If you want to get in touch with mermaids, your have to getn a hold of people from the Sirius system. Read up on the legend of the Dogon people, a people living in Africa, which according to their legends, where contacted by people from Sirius a long time ago... and these people, where amphibious, mer-folklike in appearance.

  7. it doesn't work. :/ sorry.

  8. I would not be to worried worried about that happening to you.... But there are a few spell Castor's out there and they very rarely share their spell with an out Siders or over the net.... And I just read this a few nights ago, That their was only one reported case where one young lady that was supposedly saved by fishermen in the late 1980's when they had hooked a what they thought was a large fish by the tail and just as they brought this fish to the surface it supposedly transformed in to a young lady in her mid-20's that stated that she was transformed into a mermaid by a spell... And all of this was supposedly to have happen in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.... And they were suppose to be several several days from land.... And when they hit land that is when the hook was supposedly remover from her left leg........... And she was supposedly flew from that land mass back to America via the U.S. Navy where her parents were supposedly to have a missing person report out on their daughter about a week before she was found by those fisherman in the middle of the atlantic ocean..... Now I can't say how true this story is superpose to be... But there was no report made out explaining how this young lady was supposedly survived being this far out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean... But the Navel Doctor said that she appeared to be well fed and did not appear to be dehydrated like someone who had been left in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean all alone for a week........ Again I don't know how true this suppose story is suppose to be But I found this story in the Freedom of Information Act.. And it is name are mermaid real... So All I can say is read it for yourself and you tell me what you think about this story.......... One more thing she refused to say who gave her this spell but she is now married with 3 children living in Florida...............

  9. As a practicing Wiccan/Witch for the past 20+ years, I can safely assure you that there is no such thing as a "Mermaid Spell" or any Spell, in fact, that will turn you either into something else or someone else.

The so-called "spell" to which you are referring to can be found (if you type in "mermaid spell" in the "search questions" area of Yahoo Answers).  Please read the previous answers given in order to find the correct "spell" which you are looking for.  I have seen it posted several times, as there are many young people, such as yourself, who have already asked this question because they watch the show "H20".   The so-called "spell" will state that you will grow a tail, have magickal powers, etc., all when you touch water.  It's good for a fantasy, but please know, that once all is said and done, it won't work.

ADDITIONALS:  As a courtesy, I found the "spell" and have copied it for you.  While I can't vouch for the authenticy, here it is:

"This spell really works. It makes you like one of the H2O girls. It takes about one month for a full tail to come when you touch water (even a tiny drop will change you) and about two months to get a power.

    Recite:

    Insouciant inclemency

    Redoubtable mediocracy

    Refutable humanity

Make me what I wish to be…..

    A MERMAID

    Witches one and witches all

    Give this power to me

    Repeat 10 times

Whatever you do, DO NOT SAY THIS WHILE DRY!!!!! You do not have to be in the bath, shower, pool, or ocean while you say this. Some part of you just has to be touching water. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SAY THIS ON A FULL MOON. Just don’t look at it or you will regret looking at it (after saying the spell).

After saying this spell, you will probably have side effect(s) like singing well alot, stomachaches, achy or itchy legs, the urge to drink a lot of water, the urge to touch water/go swimming, a rash, mermaid dreams, dizzines, weakness, and the unconscious urge to keep your legs crossed or together. Sometimes your legs might even stick together.

Tail colors vary, and you do not decide what color your tail will be. You do not get to choose your power. Powers I’ve heard of are the H2O powers (heating, freezing, or shaping water), psychic powers, and telekinesis.

For this spell to work, you need to have a symbol; something that is special to you and is on your upper body (so it will still be visible when you grow a tail). It can be a necklace, a bracelet, a ring, your hair, your eyes, etc. You cannot take it off for more than two hours at a time or you will lose your powers and tail or the spell won’t work. You also have to believe the spell will work or else it won’t. I’ve seen its effects; it does work.

Anyone with more questions can post them on here in an entry and I will answer them as best as I can.

PS Boys can say this spell and have it work too. I think everything just takes a little longer for them

  10. All my gosh...you believe in mermaid's? Wow, that's pretty pathetic if you ask me. Anyways, no I do not have the spell. By the way...why would you want to be a mermaid? You should be proud what God gave you and not by changing yourself. But really that's a very pathetic question. Mermaid are not real, and nor is there a spell that can turn you into one. What is this world turning into these days?

Edit: Okay, b               i                         t                                c              h  report me, see if I care! Your just some crazy little 12 year old, aren't you. Come on please GROW UP!
