Mermaid scales?????helphelphelp

does anyone know how to draw REALISTIC mermaid scales?

i am trying to draw some on my legs,dont ask why just answer the darn qusetion.dont bother being rude,or ill reporrt

Since mermaids dont really exsist, you can draw them however you want to.

Check out some pics of trpical fish and fish scales and see what you can do with metalics to make your scales look "wet" and "reflective" like a fish.

Merpeople all seem to have similar color schemes with deep violet purples, forest greens, scarlet reds...you get the idea.

pull up a close-up of fish scales and there you have it; good luck

draw circles. in a line then beside it draw circles in another row. continue to do that until your leg is filled. The style though is like a brick layer. so like a line of bricks then on the second row have a brick placed in the middle of the two bricks and then fill up the row. do the same thing for the circles/scales. Now if you have TIME you can do various sizes of circles but i'd make them almost all equal. and then fill in the surrounding areas where there aren't circles with black or dark brown. then green scales is the typical color of realistic mermaids. check out some fish scales for reference. particularly rainbow trout.
