I don't believe it. There is no proof there are mermaids (or merman) AT ALL. I just can't believe that people can have fish tails, can breath underwater, and have lungs.

(Well, we have lungs, but I just can't believe that you can have lungs AND gills.)

You are basing this on a fictional TV show are you?

I'm gonna have to say no. Perhaps they once existed. I wasn't here way back when mermaid legends started, so I can't say for sure they never existed. But even if so, I highly doubt there are any still in existence - we would all know about it with all the boats, subarines, scuba divers, and ocean research teams there are out there on the high seas now.
