Mermory stick itunes?

Question

wen i transferred all d songs frm the memory stick into itunes and try upload dem onto the ipod it says files could not be located help need to get them on ASAP

Hi, you need to copy them from the memory stick to a file in your computer and then put them into itunes. Hope this helps

You need to drag and drop them onto the itunes library icon but make sure that in preferences that you have itunes managing themusic for you. AND that under the advanced you select consolidate library.

otherwise itunes will not move the music files ont your hard drive but only keep a pointer to the originals on the USB stick.

if you do not consolidate then when you remove the USB stick and replace it with the ipod its looking for the usb stick to get the files.

the library is just a pointer to the files location if you do not let itunes mange the location you must keep all remote drives connected for a sync.
