Merry Christmas Manchester City
It’s been a nightmare weekend for Premier League officials. Freezing conditions have caused 7 games to be called off. Manchester City fans won’t be complaining though. The cancelled fixtures means that City have a chance to lead
the Barclays Premier League at Christmas. If Manchester City can manage a win over Everton on Monday night, they will go to the top of the League table and stay there till Christmas. The last time this happened was way back in 1929.
However, with the Carlos Tevez transfer saga still ongoing, it’s not going to be easy. Tevez is the club’s leading goalscorer. Despite their star power, City still depend on the Argentinean to score their goals. Carlos Tevez handed
in a written transfer request last week to Manchester City’s chairman. The move could not have come at a worse time for the club. This season’s title race is the most open in recent memory and Manchester City have a real shot of winning the League. Tevez was
instrumental in bringing City to this position.
Manchester City Boss, Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 will be trying to put last week behind him and focus on the upcoming match. Everton have a good record against City recently. David Moyes’ team has won the last 3 games at Eastlands, scoring
5 goals and conceding none. However, Everton are not playing at their usual level, being 15th in the league table. With the form that City have been in recently, it looks unlikely that Everton can continue their winning ways against the club on
Monday.
Roberto Mancini has already stated that Carlos Tevez will start against Everton. With all that has happened over the past week, it seems as though the Argentinean’s days at City are numbered. Tevez has promised that he is fully
committed to his team as long as he remains at Eastlands, though it remains to be seen whether his performance is affected by the turmoil in his personal life. All eyes will be on Carlos Tevez on Monday night as Manchester City look to climb to the top of
the Barclays Premier League.
