Merseyside Job Hunting Misery. Anybody Suffering Same Problem?

Are there any other Merseyside job hunters here who are suffering the demoralising problem of not getting a reply to job applications? I am FED UP with sending my CV off to all the agencies and employers, but never hearing anything further from them. And the more applicatons I am sending off, and not getting a reply, the more despondent I am getting. In fact, I am feeling that FED UP that I just feel like getting out of jobless Merseyside, as I just feel as if I am wasting my life here.

Why does it seem such an effort now for these employers and agencies to send even a brief email to you about your job application? There is nothing more soul destroying than to be totally ignored when you apply for a job!

It ain't just Merseyside my friend.  It is in small towns all over.  i have been here four years and they ignore you. We only have a few small companies to choose from and I will send an application for this job, nothing, then that job, nothing.  I am either over qualified, under qualified or I just smell bad.  I have called the Human Resource Dept.  Only way to get in is to push a little.  good luck to us both.
