Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Per-Mertesacker-c29680 has gone on to admit that he is finally adjusting to life at Arsenal and hopes to have a very impressive start in the coming season.
Mertesacker went on to suffer an ankle injury earlier in the year and this ended up in the defender ending his season much earlier than we would have hoped to.
However, in his last few games before he picked up the injury, but it was fairly obvious that the defender had problems adjusting to the pace of things early on in his career at the Emirates.
When talking about life with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and just how he is adjusting to the team, the towering German defender is quoted to have said: "Sometimes I felt like it was very hard, especially when I first came here"
"It was tough to settle down [and I was] very quickly into the first-team squad.”
"There was sometimes a lack of performance but I think you have to go through that to improve yourself. I am very comfortable here now, and very proud to be with this club.”

"In general you are playing the best players in the world. You always have to perform at a high level.”

"It is at a constant level and that is what makes the Premier League so good and so sharp."

It is still unclear when Mertesacker will be back to a hundred percent, but the defender is currently part of the German side that will be taking part in the Euro 2012. As a result, it is safe to say that he is on track with his recovery and is only a couple
of days away from being back on the pitch.
Nonetheless, he might not be able to represent Arsenal again this season.
It is now going to be a wait till next season to see just how the defender will be reincorporated into the North London club’s starting eleven.
