Message Pager Advice Please

Question

I work for a train company in the UK.

Each ticket office is given a pager for messages - i.e: Signalling problems in the x*x are - delays"

But they wont give me a pager as there is only enought for 1 per ticket office.

Would it be possible to buy a pager and "hack" into there network?
