The single most annoying thing I find that moderators and admins can do is lock topics prematurely, assuming that you're an simpleton or that your question has been answered in another thread.  Often times you may have a varying degree of a similar problem or the other resolutions simply didn't work for you.

Discussion forums should allow just that... discussions.
