The Argentinean maestro was really frustrated when Barcelona faced Granada over the weekend and was seen screaming at the Spanish striker, David Villa, right before the end of the first half.
Barcelona faced Granada after winning their first UEFA Champions League game against Spartak Moscow over the midweek.
The Catalan giants had to host their opponents at the Nou Camp over the weekend and many considered La Blaugrana to be the favourites to win the tie.
However, Granada brought the fight up to the Catalans, who were finding it hard to beat Joan Antonio Anquela’s men.
Even with the likes of David Villa, Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez in the final third, Barcelona took 87 minutes to score their first goal against Granada.
The visitors decided to park the bus as they took on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 at the Nou Camp and tried to create chances on the break.
However, Victor Valdes, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Mascherano-c18071 were having one of their best days in defence and they did not allow Granada to score a single goal throughout the game.
On the other end, Lionel Messi was left frustrated as he was unable to convert numerous chances on goal.
Moreover, David Villa was also finding it hard to penetrate Granada’s defensive walls.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexis-Sánchez-c4979 was mostly useless as he couldn’t create the magic he is usually able to produce in front of goal.
Therefore, right before the half-time whistle, the world saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629, who couldn’t pass the ball to Messi at the right time.
However, while speaking about the rift between him and Villa, Messi said:
“I have no problem with El Guaje and people should not look for things that aren’t there.”
“It also happens in training but there are no cameras there. The fact it happened in a game was a result of the tension we felt in getting the first goal to make things easier.”
“It is the character of this team to want to win. We want the best and that shows in tension during matches.”
After Xavi’s goal, a shot from Messi was blocked by Granada’s defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Borja-c7886 Gomez, leaving an assist in the name of the Argentinean star.
