Messi fully prepared to play against Madrid
Madrid are currently in phenomenal form and Messi is fully aware how the opposition is tough and how important it is for his team to win at the Bernabeu.
The Argentinean star has recently admitted that his team desperately needs to win the game against Madrid scheduled to take place on Saturday.
Barcelona are three points behind Real Madrid but Jose Mourinho’s men still have a match in hand.
Real Madrid are currently 14 games unbeaten and Barcelona will now have to break this brilliant run set by the Spanish Giants.
Messi accepted how the match is going to be important and fantastic at the same time. He was quoted saying:
"It’s going to be a fantastic match. Obviously it’s vital we get a good result because it’ll set us up for the rest of the season. 
Messi also told the press how the game against Madrid is not the only important one in the list of matches which are scheduled to take place later. Barcelona also have to play in Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup and he said:
"If we don’t, then we’re not going to have much time to relax because we’ve got the trip to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 [for the Club World Cup] coming up, which is very important for us too."
While talking about the big games which the Catalans have to play later, Messi accepted how his side is expected to win every time. The Argentinean star said:
"We’re always under the obligation to win.”
The game against Madrid is not the only important thing going on in Messi’s life. The two time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner is currently in the list of players who have been short listed for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2011.
While speaking about winning an individual award, Messi said:
"As I’ve always said, it’s great to win individual awards, especially the prestigious ones, but what comes first for me is winning matches and titles.”
