Riquelme has stated that he has observed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 growing up to the status that Maradona once had in the football-crazy nation.

"I was lucky enough to grow up during the era of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Maradona, who all Argentineans consider the greatest player ever. After watching him play I used to run out onto the street with my mates, get the ball and pretend that I was him. I’d be commentating
on myself and saying 'Maradona has the ball', stuff like that.”
Diego Maradona is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. The fabled Argentine led his country’s team to World Cup glory back in 1986. He was Argentina’s captain and highest scorer in the tournament.
The retired legend was one of the first South American players to play in numerous clubs across Europe. His services were rendered to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Sevilla. Maradona’s impact on the teams was so vast that he was able to sign contracts with record-breaking
fees during his time in Europe.
The Argentine was one of the most iconic players and reached dizzying heights whilst he was at his prime. His successes made him a household name across his native country and he was considered as every young boy’s dream.
Lionel Messi, on the other hand, has also had a very successful career despite of his young age. At 24, the attacking midfielder has managed to grab every coveted trophy on offer in the world of club football. In spite of his inability to make a very thrilling

Juan Roman Riquelme has made 50 appearances for the Argentinean national team and he has played for the Spanish club Villarreal.
